Bikini Karate

Huh?

I dunno about you guys, as much as I would like good looking females in bikinis, this as a video game is damn disturbing.

And this is a sequel to Bikini Karate Babes (German video review below), supposed to be a spoof of fighting games. And that too, is disturbing.

Turned on? No man, I'm freaked out.

Upset over Something Harsh

Harsh City is now out of my washed hands.

I have been rewritten without my approval. After much debate, changes and fights, I would try not to bother about the script anymore. Now it has become nothing more than cheap dialogues, weak characters, unrealistic ideas and stories that clearly show lack of research.

I'm jaded over it already. When it's made and done with, I just want my paycheck.

Push me...

Freaky, but I like it.

Nose Bleeds and Heavy Sleep

I think this will be regular.

Any free time I have is always invested on production, be it currently in one or planning for another one. As long as I have it, I will make a new shoot.

I sleep so less that my body temperature will increase causing me to nose bleed. And once I cannot take it, I will fall into a one day coma when I sleep the whole day.

The cycle repeats. This is no healthy. I gonna do something about it.

Parents and Screenwriters

All parents want the best for their daughters when they get married.

They would be really glad if the husbands play a part in grooming them into a good woman, mothers, daughters, and most of all, a right human.

Can you imagine how they feel if the husbands abuses their daughters?

Parents who have given their daughters away and screenwriters are very common.

Screenwriters pray for directors or producers to consult them if their "daughters" need change or certain understanding if they have conflict.

All I can do now is to move on from the pains of my "daughter" and what she has become. I accept the circumstances so all I can do is to mourn.

Insurance People on the Streets

Damn funny.

I was walking along Orchard when a lady with a clipboard comes up to me. I know she is going to try to sell me insurance. I usually don't entertain them, but this time I decided otherwise.

I was dressed in a black shirt with sleeves rolled up and a pair of jeans. Wearing shades, I was looking bad ass.

She walks with me and begins to ask questions.

I constantly pretend to look behind me once in a while as I answered her.

And then she asked, "May I ask what do you do?"

I stopped. I looked at her through the shades and I said, "I work for the government."

She replied, "Oh."

Hanging her head and walk away saying thanks, she didn't see me smile.

MAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

What? I'm speaking the truth what.

Another One?

Honesty, I'm tired of it already. Yes I did spend a lot of time on it back when I was younger. The game rocks, the movie over hyped (which went to Cannes by the way), the sequels to the game and movie got bad reviews and now this.

Yes Aerith Gainsborough, it was tragic when you died. Especially when I trained you to super high level with the top limit break which is damn hard to get. Yes the music was overwhelming and it made me cry.

But please, enough already.

Live Earth Theory

It's all about the money.

I'm sure you guys have heard of how the Live Earth event has caused more waste than how to save as it rallies.

I have been thinking about it and I have a theory. Keyword: Theory.

There will be some who will disagree with me but remember, it's a theory. If you wanna discuss, yes please, but don't turn it personal.

Okay, here goes:

Let's calculate how many artists are there = 150.
How many acts are there since some artists perform together = About 90?
Let's calculate the amount of audience at the concerts = Dunno. Let's put it as X

So let 90 acts be hundred percent - 100%

Among the 100%, I think only 10% are already disbanded bands who came together just for Live Earth. So make this 90%.

Have I gone Matrix Reloaded? Try to keep up.

Now ask yourselves this: for the 90%, wouldn't the artists themselves have their own concerts anyway?

Here's the audience calculated = X divided by 90% = A

So A is the estimated amount of audience at their own concerts.

Will that total 90% amount almost sum up to the audience at Live Earth?

A times 90% = X

Would the energy wasted be around the same?

Let energy per concert per artist be B.

Energy used in Live Earth divided by X = B

Then,

B times 90% = Live Earth?

So the producers had got them together for the same event at maybe zero cost? And with the concerts recorded for broadcasting live and reruns, wouldn't the producers get money out of the broadcasters?

And they haven't even come out with DVDs yet. Imagine that they did. How much more will they earn?

Would you agree with this equation:

(B times 90%) + (A times 90%) = Live Earth but with some extra bucks?

And come on, the event ended not so long ago, it's too early to say if the message of saving earth has worked.

Only time will tell, so quit saying that it's wrong for the event to happen...for now.

It created more awareness no?

Sorry about the maths...

Coma Welcomed

This happened last morning.

I woke from my sleep. My eyes opened but my body refused to move. I wasn't sure if I didn't want to move or I couldn't. I could feel the fan blowing in my direction. My breaths are still deep.

But I just refuse to move.

I went back to sleep. I can feel that I am getting deeper and deeper into blank thoughts, deep into nothing.

Lunch time came and the same thing happened. People thought I was dead.

I am usually not negative or depressed. But that morning, I didn't care if I was alive or not.

Maybe I am just too tired.

I didn't wake till this morning and I am still want to sleep.

Something Just for Fun

Something I did before I fly off.

Hmm...
It's a tie...

Which Office Character Are You?

You are part Jim. You are personable, easy-going, and always socially aware. Your great sense of humor and impishness soften the blow of what might otherwise be a dark, cutting cynicism.
You are part Ryan. You are extremely smart and perceptive, and it irritates you to no end when inferior people try to tell you what to do. Sometimes, though, your critical eye makes you come off as aloof and bitter to others, and it may take awhile for people to get to know you.
Find Your Character @ BrainFall.com

On The Road Home

Will be flying off tomorrow. Will update when I'm back.

Something to think about:
Is John Murphy's In The House - In A Heartbeat becoming the new Clint Mansell's Summer, Autumn, Spring?

Did I get their titles right?

The reason I asked, is that I hear them in a lot of trailers nowadays.

Damn, to think that I wanted to use it for mine...

Beowulf is gonna rock! Will upload trailer when I return.

I salute Brian Helgeland

My DVD orders from Amazon arrived yesterday. One of the orders is this one, Payback - Straight Up: The Director's Cut.

The reason why I bought this DVD is because:
1 - I love the story of the theatrical one, but often feel it falls a bit short.
2 - Mel Gibson
3 - Brian Helgeland (Though I cannot forgive him for The Punisher)
4 - I know how 2 and 3 tried to convince the studios not to destroy the original story of Payback.
5 - Richard Donner mentors Helgeland

When the production wrapped for this film and entered into the post production stage, the studios decided to take the film and re-cut it. Not only that, they filmed a new third act and ending.

The studio also removed certain scenes because they had deemed it "too violent against women".

From a small, honest, low budget, 70s looking crime film, it became a big budget, explosive, wide audience friendly, a little bit silly, film.

Helgeland was very upset. And I can totally understand him.

Here's my references to what I mean.
1 - Yes, Payback is one of references to Fallen in terms of the colors. Notice how the color is the same? I colored it that way because it has lost its substance. So why not stylize it, just like Payback?
2 - Jane is supposed to be the small, true film that I want to tell the story to. Fallen became the result of making it more commercial. (Yes, I'm more mainstream aiming now, but I wasn't then.)
3 - Father, another film, totally lost its meaning when scenes are cut.

So I am very glad that the studio finally gave Helgeland a chance to release his version.

Brian Helgeland, I salute you. You're next in my list with Michael Mann, Joe Carnahan, Johnny To, Chris Nolan and several others.

The Orginal:

In Hokkien:

A Reflection

Self awareness is the first step to self improvement. (This is my line, DO NOT COPY)

So here it is:
I know at times, I'm an asshole.

Sometimes, people have problems being aware of themselves. Sometimes, they cannot accept their flaws. But please, if you can, for my sake, sit me down and tell me what's wrong before things go really bad and it becomes a norm.

Yes, yes, I'm the asshole.

5 Minutes: Nothing and Everything

I love western, especially Sergio Leone's stuff. Watching The Good, The Bad and the Ugly around aged eight or nine, I never feel so much in a film before. This movie truly set my mind in stone as a film buff.

SPOILER ALERT: This scene is the end of the second act of the movie. If you haven't seen it, don't watch it here:

And even though not mentioned, I believe Exiled is Johnnie To's take on the filmmaker's style.

I always, always love western. It's a different kind of hoodlums in the old world.

Until Brokeback Mountain destroyed it for me. I'll never watch western the same way again.

And I wanna be the next Johnnie To. Fan of his works me.

Witching Hour, Every Hour

This is bad. My sleeping habits are horrible. Now my body refuses to rest for more than four hours per day in one sitting.

I often have to stop for a nap every once in a while.

This is bad.

Production Blog

As the time for pre-production of The Moment draws near, I am considering setting up a blog for the production.

Would there be anyone to help make more noise about it in the first place?

Halo director

Among the many reasons, my jaw dropped for these.

No wonder director Neill Blomkamp is selected to direct Halo the movie.

And one of them i think, is a bloody student film!

Broken pieces of Soul

I may be angry and bitter at times (most of the time). And the reasons why may only be known to those who are close.

These feelings weren't always there in the first place.

They are from a recovered soul long ago broken from sad experiences. The pieces have changed and may not fit anymore. This soul learned to live with it.

Soon, I'll just be more, angry, jaded, and bitter.

I still believe in it. Just not with me anymore.

A Blink near the End of the Day

Can the day get any worse?

Things are falling apart. In time to come, I will have to make painful and difficult choices: none of them are pleasant.

I'll take it as another challenge, before I break and burn out further.

Smiles & Cries

I sat in the car getting a ride home. Today was a shitty day.

The song came on the radio and I felt worse.

I feel so angry and sad to the point that I realized how pathetic I was. Then I laughed. So hard that I cried.

The Lord has plans for me. I will wait.

Standing my Ground

F#%& YOU!

I'm not your sub. We decided to shut each other out didn't we?

So why drop messages or email to me whenever you feel like shit or when your current guy doesn't seem to work out for you? Also why do it at times when you almost want to flaunt what you got?

I grin at your stupidity. I now laugh at your new squeeze.

I won't be your sub again. I have moved on. Find someone else to listen to you.

Even though a small part of me wishes that you found the right one...

Don't call/text/email me again. I won't be the same guy you hope to be looking for.

Title Changes

Mercedes, which used to be Father, is now Sou. It means Hand in Mandarin.

Silver Case may be now Harsh City.

Sometimes drafts make that happen.

Childhood Re-lived

Went to the Play! Symphony and it was great!

Thanks to SHY I got to sit at the VIP box, just a few feet in front of the stage.

When the music play, all my childhood memories rush back.

The whole crowd was waiting for One Winged Angel. And when performance came, everybody went mad. I was happy enough with Theme from Metal Gear Solid 3, even though the arrangement from part two I hoped for didn't come.

Five minute standing ovation.

It's just too cool.

I didn't mind being in the house full of geeks.

Terminator|Robocop

Why didn't anyone notice this?

According to the trivia in Terminator, the T-800 runs components of Apple Macintosh operating systems, most likely Mac OS 9. And according to the trivia in RoboCop, the point-of-view shots from Robocop include references to MS-DOS.

MS-DOS is commercialized by Microsoft since it comes together with Windows.

Couldn't this be a better product placement for both Apple and Microsoft?

So why didn't any producers/studios with a hell lot of money approach Apple or Microsoft for even more money to make this movie happen?

Here's what the story can be like:
The T-800 is set to kill a guy named Norton. And RoboCop has to protect him because for some reason, he needs Norton. <-- No brainer there why RoboCop needs him.

If Apple wants, the machines can suddenly go:

T-800: Hello, I'm a Mac.
RoboCop: And I'm a PC.
And they go on fighting!

Example of this ad:

It can be a huge fight man!

Here's a sample of what it could be like:

Just think about it: almost unlimited product placement and advertisement!

Due for Operation

Mother Olivia went for a checkup.

The doctor says that a small operation is in order and she will be hospitalized for a day for observation.

It starts tomorrow morning.

I pray to God she'll be okay.

Stories about crime interest me. Be it comedy, drama or action, when there is crime in it, I'm game.

I can't wait for this to come man...

My Kind of Film!

I can't wait!!!!

Crime + Handheld/Steadicam + Family + Desperation = The kind of film I wanna make/ watch!

If I'm not a screenwriter. I would have been a cop. And if I'm not a cop, I would have been a criminal.

Threw up

It's really hot recently.

I'm the type of person who needs extra lots of air and be in a place with extra good ventilation.

I was at a discussion at a very stale air place for quite a while. The weather recently is crazily hot also. Within an hour, my head wanted to explode. I tried drinking lots of water but it didn't help much.

After I left the place, Aaron and I thought that we should grab some dinner.

The very moment I swallowed the last bits of a burger, and like a switch within me, I felt like puking.

I took a cab home. I felt sicker with every minute.

When I got home and got to the toilet, I threw up. It rushed out so hard that the veins in my face wanted burst. I felt very faint after that.

That was twenty-four hours ago.

Guys, the weather is insane. Please drink more water.

If I can offer you one tip for the future, sunscreen AND WATER would be it.

Shy People and Piss

10:00am
QX and I arrived at the Seating Gallery. We sat and observe the rehearsals for the National Day Parade.
We downed a bottle of Newater.

11:00am
JY arrives. He took a bottle of mineral water for us each. Within the hour, we emptied the bottles.

12:00nn
It was getting really, really hot.
Wearing our shades, we continue to sit and observe the rehearsals. I turned over to the seats in front of us where we deposited the empty bottles. I counted them as I took a new bottle.

1:00pm
It was getting really hot. Our shirts soaked and sticked to our chest like second skin.
JY went to buy us a couple of bottled tea. Within the hour, the bottles filled with nothing but air.

2:00pm
Some of us are having headaches.
Me: Must drink more water.
We forced ourselves to drink three Newater straight.

3:00pm
Me: I noticed something.
QX: What?
Me: Did you piss?
QX: No.
Me: You?
JY: (Laughs)No.
I looked over at the empty bottles piling up. This is crazy...

4:00pm
Me: Lots of shy people here.
QX: Why?
Me: All of us here sun burn.

5:00pm
Still, nobody visited the loo or even has the urge to. We had downed more than twenty bottles of water.

The world is truly getting warmer.

In the end, I returned home and my piss was yellow. And it burns as it passes through my system!

Holy S#^& MTV!

This is by far, one of the best music videos I have seen.

Warning: contains sex, violence and drugs.

What a way to get attention. Great storytelling.

This is totally F%&*ed up.

Half a Day Lost

I took off early and headed home. I thought I could try to cook dinner for myself. I took a nap first, at three.

I didn't wake till ten minutes ago.

My face's all numb...

It never Ends

The very moment I sent my Silver Case email to the producers and head for bed, I forgot that I had placed some notes on my pillow.

This is a habit for me to remind myself what had to be done that day, sorta my writing checklist.

Next in line I saw, the last scene in The Moment.

Sigh...

What's next?

Before The Next Stage

Silver Case ends its draft stage. Before it moves on to another level of Craziness, I better pay my sleep debt.

Coma here I come.

Please wake me up only when you need me...
