The very moment I sent my Silver Case email to the producers and head for bed, I forgot that I had placed some notes on my pillow.

This is a habit for me to remind myself what had to be done that day, sorta my writing checklist.

Next in line I saw, the last scene in The Moment.

Silver Case ends its draft stage. Before it moves on to another level of Craziness, I better pay my sleep debt.

Dreams in Flight

The guys and I attended the opening of the 2007 Singapore Arts Festival at the Padang.

There was a performance by La Fure dels Baus. It was so awesome! They had a crane that carried structures way above the audience's heads and had performers running across the crowd!

Too bad I forgot to bring a camera.

I felt like a kid again and almost wanted to join the performing fun.

Small Turn Around

Thanks to SHY, I might be seeing Play! Symphony perform afterall.

I still need to finish that draft!

It's a short film divided into four, showing one each week. It has won several awards.



Thai commericals inspire me to make more films.

Snort the Motherf***ing Yay

It's been in my mind for far too long.

Time to put Father back the way it should originally been.

I reviewed the screenplay and I thought that the message of the story will be carried out strongly if the negative side is all shown. This means putting self-less and pure love shown together with drugs, sex and violence for comparison.

From all the ugly things, we can truly appreciate the good.

It is about undercover vices gone wrong and the guy who just wouldn't die so that he can set things right.

From the weak story Father, It's been retitled Mercedes. It is a meeting place that these people have.

Miami Vice + Army of Two + Narc + Memento + Die Hard = Mercedes

I hope to shoot this half hour short in 2012 in English, Thai, Chinese, Russian and Malay. After the short, I'll leave the feature version to run its own course using this as a pitch.

Don't worry, I ain't planning to act in this as well. But maybe cameo?

The Curse of the Silver Case

The screenplay's speed is picking up. Thanks to my double, triple lives, this is too fast for me!

If things look good, we can expect the feature Man with a Silver Case to be in production sometime next year.

And if things look better, the producers can give me more time to write the screenplay in its proper form and structure.

Oh well, we'll see how things go.

I waited so long for this movie!
It is so niche and full, I felt so relieved watching it.

Mostly because there's lots of elements I like in a movie in this film:

1. A father with a heavy burden or guilt.

2. Sibling love.

3. Making difficult choices through:
a. time limit
b. situation
c. duty
d. love
and living with it.

4. Shot hand held or steadycam.

5. Good soundtrack.

6. Desperation (but not exactly without hope)

I wept. It doesn't have to be touching or emotionally drama genre driven.

It just has to be a good movie to make me tear.

I wish I can make movies like that.
