Terminator|Robocop

Why didn't anyone notice this?

According to the trivia in Terminator, the T-800 runs components of Apple Macintosh operating systems, most likely Mac OS 9. And according to the trivia in RoboCop, the point-of-view shots from Robocop include references to MS-DOS.

MS-DOS is commercialized by Microsoft since it comes together with Windows.

Couldn't this be a better product placement for both Apple and Microsoft?

So why didn't any producers/studios with a hell lot of money approach Apple or Microsoft for even more money to make this movie happen?

Here's what the story can be like:
The T-800 is set to kill a guy named Norton. And RoboCop has to protect him because for some reason, he needs Norton. <-- No brainer there why RoboCop needs him.

If Apple wants, the machines can suddenly go:

T-800: Hello, I'm a Mac.
RoboCop: And I'm a PC.
And they go on fighting!

It can be a huge fight man!

Here's a sample of what it could be like:

Just think about it: almost unlimited product placement and advertisement!
